Sensing Your Way To EASE & ENJOYMENT.
Most people can relate to having had “ one of those days”. The type of day where you feel like everything is spinning out of control & you want to SCREAM. During the pandemic (added stressors) most people have experience more than a fair share of these days…
How do we emotionally support ourselves & loved ones during a pandemic?
How can we enjoy calm -connected moments when our attention is being pulled in so many directions?
Here is how…. we can change our inner state (how we feel) in seconds by engage with the world through the senses of the body. We can influence our biology, towards a more restful and peaceful state of being.
In the video below, for example, bees float with ease and purpose, from flower to flower….
Just being more present in the here & now by watching these bees, we can downshift from FRAZZLED TO DAZZLED.
Consciously paying attention to what we see, hear, what we smell, taste, or feel, we can create a positive change for our system in a subtle, easeful, pleasurable way. The more we practice reconnecting with our environment, through ease and pleasure(without even trying) our system reorganizes…from a system that is wired to look for threat and to a system that connects with what is pleasurable and calming in the moment.
And if it doesn’t happen right away, that’s ok. Let’s practice this together. Downshifting in a system that has been running on sympathetic nervous system “juice”(fight, flight, freeze) appreciates compassion and understanding for how hard it’s been working to be on the look out for danger. It’s the wisdom of your system. I honor and respect whatever responses you have in shifting into being present. As your coach I can help you with this transition.
I invite you to SENSE YOUR WAY INTO ENJOYMENT, by watching this video using your senses to observe & connect.
